Electricity
For the electricity unit we learned about electricity through packets. So this unit was very independent. We did get to work with a partner though. The packet really focused on circuits and how they work.
Concepts
Ohm's Law: Voltage = Current x Resistance
Circuit: a complete loop of conductive material with a power source
Resistors: poor conductors that reduce voltage
Voltage: power that electricity gives off, push/pull of electricity, pressure or potential energy difference
Parallel circuits: Series circuits:

Reflection
Overall, I enjoyed this unit. There were times where I wish it was more teacher taught. But, I also really liked the independence part of the unit. My partner and I worked well together and we didn't have any issues. It got a little hard and rushed in the end because my partner and I took a little longer to complete some of the experiments. But, we worked through it and finished on time.
Programming Robotics
This was definitely my favorite project so far in STEM. I really liked how going into this topic I knew just about nothing and once the project was finished I had so much knowledge about coding.
Concepts
The concepts for coding are almost identical to the concepts for electricity.
Reflection
I really loved this project! I loved how I got to experience something I have never done before. I am so happy that some of the students in my class had already done coding before and they showed us some really cool tricks. There are times where I wished there were more instructions. But, it was still one of my favorite units.
